Ray Parlour – Rugby League World Cup 2021 – Emirates Stadium

March 29th sees the 200 days to go until the Rugby League World Cup 2021 (RLWC2021) makes a real impact across the nation when England take on Samoa in the tournament’s opening fixture at St James’ Park, Newcastle on 15th October 2022.

To commemorate the milestone , the tournament is undertaking a 48-hour trophies tour of the 18 host towns and cities in celebration of a 48-hour ticket upgrade offer. The offer will allow fans to buy a Category C ticket for the Emirates Stadium fixture and be upgraded to Category B.

The tour started in Newcastle with RLWC2021 ambassador Jason Robinson plus local names, and culminated at the Emirates Stadium, London on Wednesday 30th March with Arsenal and England football legend, Ray Parlour, that GamePlan contracted for this appearance.

The Emirates Stadium will host a men’s semi-final and it will be the first non-football match to be played at the venue. If England make the semi-final stage, as is anticipated, they will play in the match. They are likely to face Tonga, however, they could also face Wales, Papua New Guinea or Cook Islands. The venue has had rugby league posts installed in preparation for the game on Saturday 12th November, 2022, kick-off 1430.

Ray undertook a batch of interviews and photography to assist with making a splash.

David Seaman – England v Switzerland – Wembley

Saturday 26th March England hosted Switzerland in a friendly at Wembley Stadium. Working alongside some other stars such as; Emile Heskey, Ray Parlour and Paul Merson, David was called upon by the FA to be part of their hospitality programme. David mixed with guests in the One Twenty Club pre game, followed by the Bobby Moore suite post game, as well as undertaking a pre-game pitch-side interview.

Kyran Bracken – Paris

With England taking on France in the 6 Nations, Kyran was once again booked by England Rugby Travel to join a trip to Paris. ERT had arranged a special event for a collection of their most valued customers in the capital.

Kyran, along with fellow Rugby World Cup Winner Will Greenwood, entertained guests on a delightful Seine dinner cruise, on the eve of le Crunch.

Martin Offiah – Boxpark

The Boxparks; continue to be very popular locations to enjoy sporting events. The fantastic variety of street food, the bar and entertainment create a wonderful atmosphere.

As expected, for the Rugby 6 Nations they were full of excited fans. GamePlan engaged Rugby legend Martin Offiah to attend the Wembley and Croydon sites to bring some stardust and interact with fans. Martin was at Wembley for the Eng v Ire gamed then Croydon for France v Eng. After mixing with guests pre game, he took to the stage for a match preview and post-game returned for analysis.

Mike Ford – Burberry

GamePlan contracted former England rugby coach Mike Ford for a private speaking engagement for Burberry.

This intimate event for 20 Store Managers, took place at the fashion brand’s flagship store in central London.

Ben Cohen & Kyran Bracken – Twickenham Hospitality

For the Twickenham internationals that saw England host Wales & Ireland, World Cup Winners Ben Cohen and Kyran Bracken were once again booked to engage with guests in the hospitality suites. The rugby stars mixed with VIP guests, regaled them with stories and insight in advance of kick off, then reviewed the game at the final whistle.

After COVID robbed the chance for fans to attend games, brilliant to see Twickenham loud and colourful once again.

David Seaman – Premier League Productions

Today David was back in the studio with Premier League Productions for a day of filming. He was involved in a variety of their output, previewing the Arsenal/Leicester clash; Discussing the best XI he’s played with and against, along with engaging in a live session interacting with global fans of the Premier League.

Dr Mandela – International Women’s Day – Vodafone

On the 8th March, to recognise International Women’s Day, Vodafone invited Dr Mandela to participate in a virtual session. She spoke on a selection of her career highlights and her journey into advocacy and activism as well as thoughts on what companies such as Vodafone can do around the world to change the narrative and address gender inequality in a sustainable and impactful way.

This was followed up by another session on the next day, where Dr Mandela shared with the Vodafone colleagues what it was like to grow up as a ‘Mandela’, some of the lessons that she learned from her father President Mandela, as well as addressing what positive actions, women (and men) should be doing to gain equity.
