Liv Boeree – ING – Chicago

Liv was in Chicago for a much anticipated keynote presentation and Q&A session.

Navigating today’s world requires focus, determination, and a herculean ability to press on in the face of seemingly insurmountable odds. How do you evaluate a multitude of inputs and organize them into a manageable framework that enables you to effectively navigate your organization through a time of unprecedented innovation and historic upheaval to come out on top—regardless of the hand you’ve been dealt?

This is what Liv’s Keynote delved into.

The day’s sessions focused on developing perspectives, insights, and strategies to inform decision to either go all in or hedge your bets on the election, the economy, and artificial intelligence. The objective was to help the audience to understand where the deck is stacked and where opportunity exists.

Liv addressed the strategies for planning for the unknown – how do you use the information you have, to inform your decisions, when the outcome is anything but certain? She also covered “high-stakes decision-making.”

She also explained how to upgrade your prediction skills with techniques such as expected value thinking and Bayes’ Rule.

David Seaman – Sport Stars Stories

David joined boxer George Groves and darts player Wayne Mardle at a memorable ‘Sports Stars Stories’ event in Bognor Regis. Fans were able to enjoy a fantastic array of entertaining stories and photo opportunities with the star names.

Lisa Mason – HMS Excellent

Every year this popular International Day event is run by HMS Excellent. GamePlan arranged for Commonwealth Games gold medalist Lisa Mason to be the star speaker. She talked not only about her impressive career as a  Team GB gymnast, but also the struggles and challenges that she overcame.

This annual get together is for the military medics in Portsmouth. A Wonderful celebration of diversity, inclusion and inspiration.

She received fantastic feedback;

‘Lisa’s inspiring words were a true highlight of the day, and I have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from members of the unit who were deeply moved by her frank and honest words that resonated with many. Through sharing her own experiences, Lisa touched on many topics that reflect themes experienced by many within the military including, returning from injury, managing a demanding primary role with a family and the importance of resilience and personal courage.

David Seaman – What I Wore / FC Bullard

A busy day for David. Travelling into central London, the first stop was Mayfair. This was to film What I Wore (TNT Sports). In this football show, presenter Kenny Allstar (Radio 1 DJ) meets a current or former player (or manager) who picks out the shirts which shaped their life and love for the game.

From here David was over to East London to meet up with friend (and fellow angler) Jimmy Bullard to record his FC Bullard podcast, along with Fenners. At the close of the shoot, David travelled up to Birmingham, ahead of a shoot with his partner Fishing Republic the following day.

David Seaman – Drinkaware

David Seaman, a moderate drinker himself, has supported friends over the years with their drinking and now he’s backing Drinkaware’s campaign, encouraging people to have more conversations about their drinking by taking the Drinking Check – a free online alcohol quiz.

As part of this, he was invited him back to his former club, Queen’s Park Rangers in West London, to discuss how drinking culture in football has evolved, his experiences with friends struggling with alcohol and the importance of having open conversations about drinking.

He then took the Drinking Check himself. The content has been very well received.

Ray Parlour – Topps

For many years the agency has enjoyed working with Topps. On this occasion it was to book Arsenal and England star Ray Parlour for an appearance at the Kaboom Card store in Finsbury Park, as part of the global Rip Night, where card collectors all over the world rip open exclusive packs of sports cards.

The Rip Party is a Q&A/Meet and greet which was broadcast live across Topps’ channels. This was the first time that this has happened in the UK
