Emirates and The FA worked in collaboration to create a content series inspired by the BBC programme ‘Race Across the World’.

Emirates and The FA identified four pairs of local fans from cities across the UK with an Emirates-affiliated airport (London, Manchester, Birmingham and Newcastle). Each duo participated in an epic race from their respective club’s football stadiums (Emirates Stadium, Old Trafford, Villa Park and St James’ Park) to the Emirates check-in desk at their nearby airport.
Along the way, they encountered challenges as they engaged in Emirates/Emirates FA Cup-related tasks, interacting with club legends (Ray Parlour, Wes Brown, Dion Dublin and Shay Given), Emirates Cabin Crew and people in their cities.
All the four pairs of fans secured tickets to the Emirates FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium, with the overall winners also receiving a holiday to Dubai, courtesy of Emirates.
As a former Peterborough United player, David was a special guest at Wembley for the Bristol Street Motors Trophy final, where The Posh took on Wycombe Wanderers. David undertook a batch of pitch-side media interviews before mixing with the fans in the hospitality suites.
It took until the 85th minute for Posh – who had a first-half penalty appeal turned down – to edge in front through captain Burrows’ piledriver.
But within four minutes, substitute Dale Taylor volleyed the Chairboys level seconds after his introduction to seemingly leave extra-time a formality.
Yet in the first minute of second-half stoppage time, Burrows popped up again with a cross-come-shot that looped over goalkeeper Franco Ravizzolo and into the top left corner to secure the trophy for Darren Ferguson – who oversaw the win over Chesterfield 10 years and seven days earlier.
